Polished Brass

Polished Brass is a bright brass finish with a high reflective sheen and a smooth, mirror-like surface character. It is the most luminous brass direction in this group: less quiet than Brushed Brass, less aged than patinated brass, and more direct in the way it catches light.

The finish responds strongly to its surroundings. Lighting, nearby materials, curved details, and movement in the room can appear on the surface, so the element becomes more present and visually active.

Before production, the finish should be reviewed through the finish catalogue, Modulux digital catalogue, or an ordered sample when the project requires one. For highly reflective brass, it is especially important to check the scale of the element, the lighting around it, the expected touch level, and the maintenance approach.

Polished Brass

Polished Brass is suitable for architectural elements that are meant to stand out rather than disappear into the background. It can work well on reception desks, lobby details, doors, frames, trims, furniture pieces, wall details, and selected fronts where a bright metallic presence is part of the design.

Because the surface is reflective, it should be considered together with the light sources, adjacent materials, and viewing distance. On curved or sculpted details, the reflection can become part of the form; on larger flat areas, the surrounding space may be more visible on the surface.

To review Polished Brass for a project, send the element type, intended use, dimensions, lighting conditions, and preferred finish reference. Modulux can review whether this bright reflective brass finish is the right choice for the surface.
